Places of interest:
* Hidimba Temple
* Naggar Fort
* Solang Valley :
This place is around 13 km northwest of Manali, is a good option for skiing. It also gives a splendid views of the glaciers & snow capped mountains. During winter, since Rothang Pass will be closed, the other option to feel the snow capped mountains is this place. Plan to leave early in the morning like 6 am or 7 am, because after that there will be huge traffic & you would be forced to park your car/jeep very far from the destination.
* Rothang Pass:
Its around 40 km from Manali, generally it'll be closed during winter & only open during summers. Being at a height at 3979m (13,050 ft) gives a very good panoramic view of the snow capped Himalayan mountains. Suggest to take a 4WD beyond snow point which is 16 km before Rothang Pass. Plan to leave early because of heavy traffic after 8 am.
Kullu (Hindi: कुल्लू) is the district headquarters of Kullu district. Its famous for the shawls. Don't miss buying a shawl here. Quality & design of shawls are too good here. Kullu valley is the largest valley in Kullu district & also called as the "Valley of the Gods"
