Suttur Mutt/MaTha, one of the major Lingayath Mutt, located in Nanjangudu Taluk of Mysore District in the Indian state of Karnataka has a history of 1000 Yrs. The Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Mahavidyapeetha established in 1954 by His Holiness Jagadguru late Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji the 23rd pontiff of Sutturu Mutt runs more than 300 educational institutions in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, UP & other countries. The present Pontiff, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, is the President of Mahavidyapeetha.






How to reach Suttur Mutt:
Sutturu Mutt is is around 28 km from Mysuru towards T Narasipura, there is a deviation towards Suttur on the T Narasipura road after Chikkalli village & before Varuna Lake when coming from Mysore.
From Bengaluru its around 150 km, a deviation can be taken after Malavalli on the Kanakapura Road, via T Narasipura.

There are free schools & free accommodation for poor children. There is a big Daasoha hall, where anybody can get Prasada every day.
