Bandipur Nationak Park located in the Chamarajnagar district of the Indian state of Karnataka is a very beautiful & well maintained National Parks in India, its also an important Tiger Reserve in India. Its part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve & the adjoining National Parks are to the north is the Nagarahole National Park in Karnataka, to the west is the Wayanad National Park in Kerala & to the south is the Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu. Recently this park which is part of the Western Ghats is added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Flora & Fauna:
Flora is mostly comprising of teak wood, rose wood & sandal wood trees. Fauna is majority of elephants, as this is declared as the Tiger Reserve, there is a good number of Tiger populations also. There are also other animals like Leopard, Deer, ...
How to reach:
Bandipur National Park is around 80km from Mysore & around 220km from Bengaluru located on the Mysuru - Ooty road.
From Bengaluru, one can take the state highway SH17 to reach Mysuru, then take NH212 to reach Gundlupet & finally take NH67 from Gundlupet to Bandipur
