Taj Mahal located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India is one of the modern 7 wonders of the world. Its also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is built with white marble by a Mughal Empror Shah Jahan in memory of his 3rd wife Mumtaz Mahal.






Getting There:
Taj Mahal is in Agra, the convenient way to get to Agra is by Rail. Agra is on the central Railway line & all the trains going from Delhi to other southern parts of the city like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mysore, Kochi, Trivandrum, ... go via Agra. There are Shatabdi, Rajdhani & other Express trains from Delhi to Agra. More details on the trains can be found in the Indian Railways website.

Agra is also very well connected by road. Its located on the Golden Quadrilateral (NH2) Delhi - Kolkatta route, North South Corridor (NH7) Delhi - Hyderabad - Bengaluru route & also other major National Highways pass thru Agra (NH11 to Jaipur)

Delhi is around 200 km from Agra & Jaipur is around 230 km from Agra. Delhi is well connected by air to all major international cities in the world.
